Mick Jagger & Keith Richards (Rolling Stones) – Drug possession and assault
Both of these Rolling Stones rock heroes have actually been arrested twice! Once for assault and obstruction of police in 1972, the charges were eventually dropped however but Jagger was forced to plead guilty before being released. Earlier in 1967, Jagger and Richards were arrested on drug charges and were given unusually harsh sentences: Jagger was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment for possession of four over-the-counter pep pills he had purchased in Italy. On appeal, Richards’ sentence was overturned and Jagger’s was amended to a conditional discharge (he ended up spending one night inside Brixton Prison)
Axl Rose: Multiple arrests for various offenses

Jimi Hendrix: Drugs possession
The legendary guitarist was arrested at an airport in 1969 when customs officers found heroin and cannabis in his luggage. Hey, it was the 1960s. We have toothpaste, they had heroin. Still, Jimi Hendrix claimed it wasn’t his, and insisted a fan slipped it into his bag when he wasn’t looking. Hmmm…
Kurt Cobain: Vandalism in 1985, and Trespassing in 1986
Cobain was arrested in 1986 before Nirvana became famous for trespassing while drunk. It was actually the second time he had been arrested – one year before, he was busted for vandalism.
David Bowie: Drugs Possession
Music legend David Bowie was arrested in upstate New York in March 1976 on a felony pot possession charge. The Thin White Duke, 29 at the time, was nabbed along with ex housemate Iggy Pop and two other codefendants at a Rochester hotel following a concert.
